Research purposes: Tibetan Plateau, with an average altitude of over 4000 meters, covers an area of about 5 million square kilometers,is the one and the only global geology, geography, resources, ecological coupling system unit.A large number of people from the plains will move to the plateau for a short time or settled. Many studies and explores on the physiological and medical issues related to the plateau needed to be further discovered. It is the first time that a paper studied ardiac structure and function on racial differences between male students from Han and Tibetan Plateau. The study is to find the factors that lead to the subjective and objective effects of physiological differences and provide new clue for the study of Plateau adaptability. Methods: This study randomly selected 30 male students from University of Tibet and 30 from native Han students who live in a place where altitude is above 3500 meters with the inclusion and exclusion criteria form the birth, life and etc.Height and weight were in a certain range, and the students must not suffer from heart, brain and lung diseases;no congenital heart disease, hypertension, coronary heart disease and any factor that may cause the change of cardiac function and structure of the disease; All students signed informed consent. All studies were conducted by the same doctor;the students verified by the same color Doppler machine. The exams included left atrium, right atrium, right ventricle diameter, interventricular septum and the aortic root diameter, pulmonary artery diameter;the subjects of left ventricular ejection fraction(EF),left ventricular end diastolic volume(EDV),aortic and pulmonary artery flow velocity, pulmonary artery acceleration time, mitral E peak,A peak, three tricuspid valve, three tricuspid valve E peak A peak, and other parameters were observed and collected data. Results: The Plateau Tibetan male students aortic diameter(p<0.05),aortic root diameter(p<0.01)were significantly narrower than the Han students, but the aortic valve flow velocity(p<0.05)and pulmonary valve(p<0.01)were significantly higher than the Han nationality, and the left ventricular function index, and Tibetan malecollege students there is no significant difference between the Han nationality(p>0.05).Conclusion: Han male college students a Tibetan male college students in the ventricle and atrium diameter and wall thickness difference is small, consideration and the result of the long-term environment;Localized plateau Tibetan environment on the plateau has a good ability to adapt, may be related to the Tibetan people left, right ventricular systolic ability is strong;Localized plateau Tibetan environment on the plateau has a good ability to adapt, may be left and right ventricular systolic ability is stronger, and the ability of left ventricular and right ventricular diastolic may continue to pass on to the han nationality with the han people acclimatization offspring, and ventricular contraction ability may not be so easy to obtain, through genetic life time, may need more long plateau need heritage from generation to generation.
