Tthe Study Of Han Nationality In Hui Nationality Community

As a major nationality in China , Han nationality is always the weak point in Ethnology of China. It is true that the study of Han nationality in minor nationality area is not paid much attention to. For Han nationality in Tongxin County, they live in the same environment with Hui nationality, but they are"regional minority", which is in a comparatively weak status in political, economic and cultural aspects. Many contradict and competitions on natural and social resources inevitably make conflicts between Han and Hui. Therefore, making a thoroughly study of Han nationality in Hui nationality community is very significant to the development and harmonious ethnic relations in ethnic minority areas.For historical reasons, many minorities lived in Tongxin . The resident pattern of Tongxin is formed finally. In order to adapt to the dry weather, Han nationality in Tongxin formed regional feature of resident, production lifestyle and customs. Owing to the lack of rain, they anchor their hopes on gods. Han nationality built many temples so as to thank gods who make favorable weather and a bumper grain harvest, thus the circles of religion belief is formed. The pilgrimage to temple , which held in March and April in lunar year , is the ceremony of Han villagers. Though it is themed for rain praying, it strengthened consciousness of national identity and promoted their unity. For religion and cultural difference, the intermarriage circle of Han and Hui is very tiny. However, religion and cultural difference do not hinder the harmonious development of ethnic relations but makes tolerance between Han and Hui.
