Peer conflict is a common and unavoidable phenomenon happened in the association between infants.When teachers deal with such a phenomenon,taking negative or improper actions will have a bad effect on the physical,mental and social development.On the contrary,handling properly is better for infants' decentration and social development.Nowadays,there are many studies on the teachers' tackling peer conflict between infants and most focus on teacher intervention situations.And the study based on peer conflict is few.Therefore,how to take effective measures to deal with different types of peer conflict for teachers is an essential issue.This paper aims to classify peer conflict types in more details and make an analysis and summary of the specific characteristics of each type by observing the real situations happened in life.And then,some effective measures taken to handle different types of peer conflict are summarized according to the deep interviews of teachers aiming to propose more reasonable suggestions for teachers to tackle such situations and help teachers to better understand the meanings of paying attention to peer conflict.The author has chosen one representative class in a kindergarten as the observation object for one month and noted the infant conflict cases.Meanwhile,the author also has interviewed head teacher,deputy head teacher,substitute teachers in reception class and swing shift.Based on the actual observation on peer conflict,the author has classified and analyzed the types and put forward corresponding solutions to each type conflict.Through the above observation,classification and analysis,from the perspective of peer conflict causes,these conflicts can be divided into resource possession caused peer conflict,rule maintenance or disagreement caused peer conflict and limb contact induced peer conflict.According to the types of peer conflict,the teachers can take the following effective coping strategies according to each type's characteristic.When faced with peer conflict caused by resource possession,teachers should lead infants to work out by themselves according to the social rules.When facing peer conflict caused by rule maintenance or disagreement,teachers should mainly set an example and guide them.When encountering peer conflict induced by limb contact,teachers should persuade from an objective view.
