Physics is a natural science that based on the experiment.According to the new curriculum standard of physics,it is important for students to raise thier scientific researching and experimental ability.Scientific reasoning ability is the core of elements of science inquiry,how to develop the students' ability of scientific reasoning is a significant problem that waiting to be solved in the physics teaching.In this paper,we explored the Scientific Reasoning based on the theory of multiple intelligences.Using LCTSR(Lawson 's Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning)and multiple intelligence measuring tool that was edited by Kentucky department of education and walter Mackenzie Surafquaruim consulting company to test students' scientific reasoning ability and the constructure of multiple intelligence.In this investigation,there were 128 students in grade eight and 79 students in grade 10.They respectively study in 47 middle school and Clifford school.Finally using SPSS software to make a Spearman correlation analysis between multiple intelligences and scientific reasoning,and make a difference analysis between the native class and international class.The results are as follows:(1)The students in grade 8,their development of scientific reasoning ability is mainly related to mathematical logic intelligence.Secondly,show a negative correlation with the interpersonal intelligence,language and music rhythm intelligence in the lower level.(2)The students in grade 10,their scientific reasoning skills associated with at least four kinds of intelligence,the mathematical-logic intelligence,visual-spatial intelligence,body-kinesthetic intelligence and natural intelligence.In general,multiple intelligences are relevant to the scientific reasoning ability.(3)Both the students in grade 8 and in grade 10,their all dimensions of scientific reasoning ability is not associated with a single intelligence.(4)Making a comprision between native class and international class,we found two types of classes,the correlation between scientific reasoning and the dimensions of multiple intelligences were different.(5)Making a T test for the two types of classes about their scientific reasoning ability found that the students under the education of combination of Chinese and western were have no significant differences with the students under the traditional education in China.Based on the conclusions,the writer puts forward corresponding countermeasures on physics teaching:(1)The experiment teaching should base on the seven elements of scientific inquiry.(2)According to the course content to design the experiments after class and issued by the corresponding test report.
