| With the development of metropolis and the change of population management policy, there is a huge population of immigrants in the period of social transition.Shanghai,as a first-line metropolis with immigrant traditions, attracts many outsiders into the city by a wealth of work opportunities. What factors are they affected by their identity into the city?Although the previous study examines the impact of economic status, but the main variable of the quantity gap rather than the nature difference. While emphasizing the impact of community integration,it mainly refers to private contacts rather than public participation.Although the impact of community identity is discussed,it relies primarily on qualitative analysis rather than quantitative methods. The study puts forward three hypotheses of "economic stability","community integration" and "community identity",which emphasize the stability of economic status factors, the public nature of community integration factors and the contradiction in community identity factors. There are 413 urban migrant samples in the 2015 Shanghai Social Cohesion Survey data(including "Shanghai immigrants" and"non-Shanghai immigrants").The author uses the logistic regression model to verify the above hypothesis. The study found that work and housing stability can promote the identity of urban migrants; In addition to active neighborhood interaction, positive community public participation can also promote identity;Community identity, although generally beneficial to identity, but in the proportion of high-immigrant community, high community identity is not conducive to identity. |
