Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has witnessed rapid development,followed by the emergence of a large-scale migration and flow of young and middle-aged working people in economically developed areas.In order to help nurture the third generation of children or to live with their children,the Elderly Immigrants embarked on a path of migration and became part of the floating population.As the size of the Elderly Immigrants grows larger,their urban adaptation problems in psychology,physiology and society in the face of the relatively unfamiliar urban environment are also increasingly prominent.At the same time,there are relatively few studies on Elderly Immigrants group s in their academic circles,and their living conditions,social welfare issues,old-age problems,and urban adaptability issues all need urgent attention.In order to study the urban adaptability of Elderly Immigrants,this paper takes the urban adaptability of Elderly Immigrants in Xi'an L community as an example to find out the status quo of Elderly Immigrants urban adaptation in L community of Xi'an by means of questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews.After that,it is found that the adaptation status of Elderly Immigrants in Xi'an L community can be roughly divided into the following four aspects: the status of language communication adaptation,the adaptation status of behavior patterns,the status quo of interpersonal adaptation,and the status quo of psychological adaptation.According to their adaptation status,the author analyzes their adaptation needs and applies the case method of social work to intervene the problem of urban adaptability of Elderly Immigrants.On this basis,relevant policies are put forward to improve the urban adaptability level of Elderly Immigrants,restore their social functions and enhance their sense of happiness.
