The three sets of textbooks for the current senior high school are new edition textbooks,which produced after the curriculum reform to meet the needs and the development of all kinds of students.As we all know,the textbook illustrations can decorate,give supplement and sort out the text information.Therefore,for a good book,the quality of the illustrations is especially important.Also as the auxiliary and supplement of the compulsory textbooks,the elective textbooks are absolutely necessary.This thesis uses three sets of basic organic chemistry textbooks for the current high school as the research object,and compares the same and the different points among the three books from the aspects of the number,the form,the content,the combination and the usage of the illustrations.By the comparison,the thesis summarizes the common characteristics of the organic chemistry illustrations,and also the advantages and disadvantages of the illustrations in each version textbook.Meanwhile,with the help of the questionnaires,this thesis analyses the usage status of the illustrations by both the teachers and the students.Also this thesis tries to find out the better strategies for the usage of the illustrations in the textbooks,hoping to provide some references for books editors,teachers,and students.
