With the progressive development of the times,society needs more quality chemistry education,so the traditional curriculum should be reformed.In order to implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education and deepen curriculum reform,the Ministry of Education revised the high school chemistry curriculum standards as the General High School Chemistry Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised 2020),and based on the curriculum standards,the People's Education Press comprehensively revised the high school chemistry textbooks.Textbooks have an important role as an important carrier of classroom teaching and are the main material for teachers' teaching and students' learning.In order to better use textbooks to achieve teaching objectives and implement the requirements of the curriculum standards,it is important to systematically study the old and new high school chemistry textbooks of the People's Education Publishing House to reveal the similarities and differences between them and to summarize the characteristics of the new textbooks.In this paper,we have selected the Human Education version of high school chemistry “Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry”(2007 revised edition),which is based on the 2003 edition of curriculum standards,and the Human Education version of high school chemistry “Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry”(2019 edition),which is based on the 2017 edition of curriculum standards,as the object of study,and adopted the questionnaire survey method,literature method,and comparative research method based on sorting out the relevant literature.The comparative analysis of the basis,content arrangement,content selection and content presentation,etc,based on which a questionnaire survey was conducted on first-line high school chemistry teachers,can provide some reference for teachers' use of the new edition of the textbook.After a comprehensive comparative study of the two textbooks,it is concluded that: the new textbook has carefully studied the requirements of the new curriculum and absorbed the advantages of the original high school chemistry textbook,in terms of content arrangement,the framework structure of the old and new versions of the textbook is largely the same,the new textbook has adjusted the arrangement of some chapters,and the knowledge system is more rigorous and complete;in terms of content selection,the old knowledge has been updated and some knowledge is standardized when In terms of content selection,the old knowledge has been updated and the presentation of some knowledge has been standardized,and some chapters have been adjusted,and some specific knowledge points and subsections have been added and deleted,making the textbook more continuous and logical.The total number and variety of exercises have been increased,focusing on the examination of basic knowledge,concepts and methods,while the exercises focus on the integration with practical life and traditional culture.To sum up,some suggestions are made for the teaching of the new high school textbook “Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry” in the Human Education version:(1)Strengthen the understanding of the curriculum standards and grasp the connection between the old and new textbooks;(2)Create problem situations adapted to the times,highlight the subjectivity of students and promote their all-round development;(3)Focus on the process of knowledge formation and the construction of knowledge systems to facilitate the formation of models of student thinking;(4)Center on the development of subject core literacy and make reasonable use of the columns and illustration resources;(5)Make full use of the exercises in the textbook and focus on the integration of teaching,learning and assessment.
