Since the 21st century, with the rapid development of social economy and scientific culture, the importance of education in the social development of various countries in the world has become more and more prominent, the wave of education curriculum reform has emerged around the world. With the advancement of curriculum reform, textbooks are constantly being updated to adapt to the latest curriculum development and requirements.A-Level program has been hailed as the "Gold" education program by the international education community and as the "Gold Medal" standard for university admissions worldwide. The course certificate is accepted by almost all English-speaking universities as admission criteria for new students. However, the recognition of ordinary high school courses in China is still relatively low,and it is necessary to learn from advanced concepts and experiences. In the entire high school chemistry curriculum system,no matter it is in China or in the United Kingdom, organic chemistry has a considerable proportion and is an important component. This article selects organic module of the second edition of British CIE A-Level chemistry textbook "Cambridge International AS and A Level Chemistry Coursebook"[1](published by Cambridge University Press in 2014,hereinafter referred to as CIE A-level textbook)and Chinese high school chemistry textbooks of PEP edition"Compulsory 2"[2](the 29th time printed by People's Education Publishing House in 2017,hereinafter referred to as "Compulsory 2")Chapter 3 "Organic Compounds" and "Elective 5 Organic Chemistry Foundation"[3](the 32nd time printed by People's Education Publishing House in 2017,hereinafter referred to as "Elective 5")for a systematic comparative study.Through the comparative study on the curriculum structure, curriculum objectives, curriculum standards, specific requirements for organic modules, textbook architecture, writing methods, knowledge content, practical skills and exercises for CIE A-Level textbook and Chinese PEP edition textbooks, this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of these textbooks, and provides reference for the chemistry teachers who teach these courses, and puts forward some personal suggestions and opinions for the compilation of high school chemistry textbooks, and provides reference and enlightenment for the development of textbooks and curriculum reform in China.
