In order to implement the new curriculum concept and to improve the effect of teaching,teachers need to enrich their teaching methods constantly,which students can develop their subjectivity and motivation.With the development of education thoughts in our country,Teaching Games for Understanding Approach has been constantly reviewed and applied to the daily work by education workers.First proposed by the British scholar Bunker and Thorpe in 1982,it emphasizes teachers need to simplify the games or use the games in the form of teaching so that students can understand the overall rules,skills,tactics in the competition and help them find their deficiencies.In this way,students are encouraged to learn techniques and tactics by themselves.This article will discuss the application of that teaching method in junior girls basketball class,regarding"the effect of Teaching Games for Understanding Approach on learning motivation and learning result in junior high school girls sport"as research object.Totally 40 girls,the subjects are from the first grade class one and three in the experimental school of dandi,20 students form a class.With the traditional teaching method,class one is a control group.While class three is a experimental group,using the Teaching Games for Understanding Approach.We use the documentation,the teaching method,mathematical statistics,and so on,and the experimental results are found,finally we come to the conclusion and advises based on the experiment data before and after of independent sample t-test and paired sample T test:??conclusion1.Teaching Games for Understanding Approach is beneficial to the female students' subjectivityin junior high school and improve their learning motivation,especially bothinternal motivation and lack of motivation.Comparing their effects its effects is obviously superior to traditional teaching method.2.Teaching Games for Understanding Approach can improve the junior high school girls learning effect,but compared with the traditional teaching method,there was no significant difference.3.The junior high school girls sports motivation are strengthened firstly by Teaching Games for Understanding Approach that then improve their learning effect.??advice1.Bring this teaching method into the method library of junior high school,take the advantages of that method in teaching process,teachers play a leading role and students play a main body status,cultivate and stimulate their sports learning motivation for awareness of physical exercise in the future.2.Comparing traditional teaching method,it can promote the female students of junior high school basketball skills,but there is no significant difference,therefore in the process of teaching,we should take fully advantage of the two methods and improve students' learning effect as much as possible.3.Education workers can apply this method to other projects as well as the subject.first of all,please stimulate students' learning motivation,then teach the skills or knowledge,in this way can they get twofold results with half the effort.
