Kindergarten environment is a learning and living environment for children,it not only provides the necessary conditions for children to live,play and learn,the environment itself plays an important role in education."The Kindergarten education guidelines(Trial)" pointed out:"the environment is an important educational resources,it is important to promote the development of children effectively by creating and using the environment." The regional environment is an important part of the kindergarten environment,teachers created colorful areas based on the interest and development level of children,encouraged the child to choose the carrier,and to gain development in experience.Among them,the scientific area is an important place for scientific educational activities,children can learn science on their own way according to their own interests and needs in the reasonable scientific area with lots of operable materials.By taking S kindergarten as an example,the study shows a real and objective situation of scientific area's space design,materials input,practicability and inquiry based environment,and child development in scientific area through field observation.Based on the method of observation and conversation,the study finds the main problems of the scientific area's creation as follows:low participation of young children on creating scientific area,the lack of scientific inquiry in the scientific areas of junior kindergarten children,the low practicability of scientific areas,and the neglect of child records and expression in science areas and so on.Based on the above problems,the study puts forward the following suggestions:First of all,the creation of a scientific area should reflect the child subjectivity by encouraging children to decorate their own scientific area,to participate in the production of labels and collection and delivery of scientific materials.Secondly,to make scientific area more exploratory by balancing the proportion of different types of materials,giving children enough time to explore,putting the "operation prompt card”and paying attention to the structure of scientific materials.Thirdly,to put different scientific materials according to the different age groups of child interest in order to improve the practicability of scientific areas.Last but not least,to encourage children to express by creating a bulletin board in scientific area and putting record sheet.Hopes the above analysis of current scientific area's creation can effectively provide support to create scientific area for teachers and create condition to develop by independent exploring and active studying in a better scientific area for children.
