Kindergarten indoor science activity area is an important carrier for scientific education and an important place for young children to conduct scientific inquiry.However,most of the research on the activity area is based on the adult perspective.The participation of young children is not high and the right to speak is deprived.In view of the research trends at home and abroad and the realistic predicament created by the kindergarten indoor activity area,this study selects the child perspective as the theoretical basis,tries to listen to the children's voice,and understand the children's true views on the creation of indoor science activity areas.This study draws on the mosaic method and uses traditional research methods combined with participatory tools to collect data.The researchers used the middle school team of 7 kindergartens in W City as the observation object,and used the on-site observation method to conduct a comprehensive investigation on the status quo of the creation of scientific activity areas from the perspective of the development and needs of the middle school children.Then,30 middle-class children(male and female)in one of the kindergartens were selected as in-depth interviews to obtain the evaluation and explanation of the children's creation of the activity area.Referring to Professor Feng Xiaoxia's division of the creation of invisible curriculum,this study presents the status quo of indoor scientific activity area from three aspects:material space environment,organizational system and cultural psychological atmosphere,and analyzes the causes of indoor science activity area creation.Through the analysis of the research results,the specific factors affecting the creation effect of the indoor science activity area are summarized,including:the child's subject status is neglected,the teacher's role orientation is vague,the lack of comprehensive creation consciousness,and the lack of understanding of the characteristics of children's science learning..In addition,the study found that the indoor science activity area that children liked has basic characteristics:suitability,interest,participation,autonomy,and aesthetics.Based on the research process and results,this study proposes several targeted improvement suggestions:rationally put in scientific activity materials to meet the development needs of young children;create a real game situation,give the science activity area a game spirit;discuss the establishment of regional routines,and promote the rules of children Identity;change the role of teachers,respect the child's dominant position;clarify the nature of activities in the scientific activity area,create a psychological atmosphere of freedom;attach importance to the function of the scientific activity area,and support the scientific inquiry activities of young children.
