In The GeoGebra Environment, The Undergraduates Study The Teaching Design And Practice Of "University Liberal Mathematics"

With the promotion of quality-oriented education and continuous improvement of education level,more and more universities start to set up the course College Mathematics of Liberal Arts,aim to cultivate mathematical literacy of liberal art students so as to enable them to solve some practical problems with thinking mode of mathematics-rationality.However,the effect for liberal art students who study the course is not so ideal for many reasons.Meanwhile,the change of teaching content and target of the course also requires teaching methods to update continuously.Multi-media technology with PPT courseware as main means gradually starts to be adopted by teachers from colleges and universities,but many perplexities and deficiency still exist in the process of usage.With the emerging and continuous improvement of GeoGebra Software,there are also more and more teaching researches on assisting middle school students to study mathematics with GeoGebra Software,teachers in colleges and universities start to discuss the application in higher mathematics teaching with GeoGebra Software.In this master thesis,we develop the research based on this and hope to assist students of liberal arts to improve learning effects of College Mathematics of Liberal Arts,and increase the interest and mathematics literacy for them to study the course.Firstly,it took three liberal art majors in one college of Shanghai,investigated on basic situations of learning College Mathematics of Liberal Arts and utilization of modern information technology for liberal arts students.According to investigation results,it formulated teaching target,content,mode and strategy of College Mathematics of Liberal Arts learned by liberal art students under the environment of GeoGebra.Then it designed teaching case of the course under the environment of GeoGebra from three dimensions as cognitivism learning theory,multi-representation theory and mathematics core literacy.Finally,the writer came to the conclusions according to teaching practice research: learning College Mathematics of Liberal Arts under the environment GeoGebra enables to stimulate the interests and enthusiasm of liberal art students to learn mathematics,help them to comprehend mathematical concepts correctly,shape strict mathematical thinking trait,and experience aesthetic and application values of mathematics.
