Background:The living standards of China's young people continuously rise,at the same time,their physical health level has shown a downward trend.Objective:In this context,this study is intended to implement intervention to the fancy rope skipping of the fourth grade primary school students who are in the"adolescent physical fitness sensitive period" to provide a specific scientific basis in improving the physical health of young people.Methods:The students of the fourth classes of the fourth grade of Beijing Primary School for Hui Nationality were divided into two groups:the experimental group and the,control group.There were 37 boys and 31 girls in the experimental group.There were 34 boys and 33 girls in the control group).The experimental group was involved in the intervention of the fancy rope skipping movement,and the control group was intervened according to the provisions of the school.It would be last for 12 weeks,and there would be one lesson of 40 minutes a week.The physical examination should be conducted before and after the intervention.The EXCEL and SPSS20.0 data statistics software were adopted.The finishing analysis was carried out by using the paired-sample T test.Results:I.In the body shape,the mean height of the boys of the experimental group in the post-test was significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.05).The mean height of the girls in the post-test was significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01);the mean height of post-test of the boys and girls in the control group was significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01).II.In respect of the body function,the mean value of the lung capacity of the boys of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01);the mean value of the post-test in the 20 meters shuttle-run of the boys and girls of the experimental group and control group was significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01).III.In respect of the physical quality,the mean scores of the post-test of the boys and girls in the experimental group and the control group in 50 meters,one minute sit-ups,standing long jump,20 seconds repeated cross-jump and physical test were significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01);the scores of the boys of the experimental group had an upward trend in grip strength,but it was not statistically significant(p>.05).The mean grip strength scores of the girls in post-test were significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01);the mean scores in rope skipping in post-test of the girls of the experimental group were significantly higher than that of the pre-test(p<.01),and the mean rope skipping scores in post-test of the boys in the control group were significantly lower than that of the pre-test(p<.05),and the rope skipping scores in the control group was not statistically significant(p>.05);the sit and reach scores of the boys of the experimental group was not statistically significant(p>.05),and the mean value of the sit and reach scores of the girls in the post-test was significantly lower than that of the pre-test(p<.01);the sit and reach scores of the boys and girls in the control group was not statistically significant.Conclusion:the intervention methods adopted in the two groups could improve the body shape(height),physical function and physical quality of the fourth grade students,improve the physical test scores and promote the development of students' physical health level.The fancy rope skipping could improve the speed,strength,agility and coordination of the fourth grade students;the provisions of the school could improve the speed,strength and agility of the fourth grade students,but it did not play a significant role in the coordinated development of students;and the intervention in both groups did not play a significant role in the development of students' flexible quality.It could be said that the intervention methods adopted in the two groups were in line with the characteristics of the development of physical fitness of students and could improve the physical quality of students,but the fancy rope skipping could more effectively promote the coordinated development of the fourth grade students and more comprehensively promote the physical health level of the students in such age group than the provisions of the school.
