Since its birth,dance has been playing an important role in people's life.It can be used to express people's attitudes toward life and inner feelings,and so can Yoga.As they are both the earliest psychotherapeutic forms in the human history,they have natural connections and similar functions.Since the human society entered modern times,people's life pace continuously accelerates.So,people are now faced with increasing life stress.As a result,many women begin to suffer suboptimal health status,psychologically.Many psychological and physiological problems,such as discordant and numb body,mental fatigue and psychological anxiety badly disturb their life.In such a context,dance and Yoga become popular again.In order to effectively relieve the female's mental stress,an intervention experiment was conducted to study the Yoga dance course in this paper.The yoga dance course contains medical and art contents.In terms of its nature,it is one of transpersonal dance therapy methods.Based on classical Yoga concepts such as asana,breath and meditation,it incorporates dance elements,such as Chinese classical dance,national folk dance and modern dance.In addition,it inherits the essence of Yoga and contains unique elements of classical Yoga for training,including stretch element and balance element.Of course,complicated and diverse asanas in classical Yoga are also integrated into this course.In terms of music,it takes unaffected oriental music as its background music,so as to form a complete course system.There is a proverb “knowledge and action should go hand in hand”.Only when we combine our inner world and outer world,seek motion methods in a static state and seek a static balance state in motion,can we show our personal charm and elegance to the greatest content,so as to improve self-confidence.Thus,when learners experience contents of the Yoga dance course,they will more concentrate on inner peace and benefit from external physical training.In this way,they can experience the spirited vigor of life.Through continuous course practice,learners can improve not only their physical conditions,but also their abstract thinking ability and self-cognitive ability,so as to reach the goal of curing psychological and physiological diseases.Since researches on the Yoga dance course began late,there is a lack of support of theoretical basis.As a result,there are very few empirical studies of effectiveness of the Yoga dance course.Therefore,further and systemic study of the yoga dance course can facilitate further development of China's dance therapy theories and practice.
