| Heavy schoolwork of middle school students and the phenomenon of school valuing exam results and belittling students’ comprehensive quality make mathematical teaching become a mode of applying formula and setting comprehension questions. Students know how to select appropriate way to solve problem but know little about the application value of mathematical knowledge. Such mathematical study not only lowers students’ enthusiasm in studying mathematics,but also inhibits their creativity and ability to apply mathematical knowledge to solve problem. Therefore, how to reflect the idea of mathematical modeling in junior middle school mathematical teaching to help students view the world with mathematical vision is of great significance.Hence, based on the practical situation of teaching of junior middle school mathematics, this paper systematically investigates and analyzes the current status of junior middle school mathematical modeling teaching and the causes of current status to infiltrate the idea of mathematical modeling to normal classes and studies the process and methods of mathematical modeling integrating into teaching on this basis.This paper first states the actual background of raised questions and research methods, sorts out domestic and foreign research results and lays theoretical foundation for the study. Secondly, it makes conceptual definition of idea of mathematical modeling and analyzes the idea of mathematical modeling from the theoretical level.The third chapter is the main content of this paper. With the help of the way of investigation, it analyzes junior middle school mathematical modeling teaching and the current status of students’ study through investigation and interview based on the mathematical modeling contents of middle school mathematics: most middle school students lack of further recognition of mathematical modeling and have great interest in mathematical modeling activity, but they have weak sense of self-efficiency in solving mathematical modeling problems because of insufficient systematic study of modeling strategy and process; the improvement of mathematical modeling ability can’t be achieved without solid mastering of basic knowledge of mathematics; most teachers teach mathematical modeling through providing mathematical modeling questions to let students think; most mathematical modeling teaching implemented by teachers is based on questions closely related to the textbook but teachers pay less attention to students’ life reality. According to the above-mentioned investigation, the author of this paper analyzes the causes from students’ recognition of mathematical modeling, students’ sense of self-efficiency, gender difference, students’ mastering of mathematical knowledge, teachers’ recognition of mathematical modeling teaching,teaching methods and examination evaluation and so forth.The fourth chapter mainly introduces teaching methods of middle school mathematical teaching, mainly including conventional teaching, mathematical practical activity class and mathematical writing. Based on specific cases, it elaborates characteristics of various methods and problems that need attention. The fifth chapter makes a summary based on investigation conclusion above and puts forward relevant suggestions. |
