The mathematics curriculum standard of senior high school(2017 Edition)points out that mathematics literacy is the basic literacy that everyone should have in modern society.Mathematical modeling has been included in the six core qualities of high school mathematics and has become a very important content.At the same time,in recent years,the core literacy of mathematical modeling has become a highlight of the college entrance examination.Guangxi will enter a new round of curriculum reform in the autumn semester of 2021.The mathematics teaching materials used focus on the content of mathematical modeling.Therefore,understanding the current level of students' mathematical modeling literacy in Guangxi is very important for teachers to carry out the teaching of mathematical modeling course in a new round of curriculum reform.This paper comprehensively uses the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and case interview to carry out the research,focusing on the method of questionnaire survey.Firstly,from the perspective of the core literacy of mathematical modeling,with reference to the division of mathematical modeling literacy level given in the mathematics curriculum standard of senior high school(2017 Edition),prepare the mathematical modeling test paper closely related to students' life.Secondly,two classes with different levels are selected as the test objects in a senior high school in Qinzhou.According to the test results,the current situation of mathematical modeling literacy of senior two students is analyzed.Then,combined with the interview with students,further analyze the causes.Finally,according to the survey results and the interview records of students,this paper puts forward the strategies to improve the mathematical modeling literacy of senior high school students.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The current situation of mathematical modeling literacy level of senior two students is at the lower middle level as a whole.(2)As far as the class is concerned,the mathematical modeling literacy level of senior two experimental class students is significantly better than that of ordinary class students.(3)As for the basic level of mathematics,the mathematical modeling literacy level of excellent students in senior two is significantly better than that of middle school students.(4)As far as gender is concerned,there is no significant difference in the level of mathematical modeling literacy between male and female students in senior two.(5)for the registered residence area,there is no significant difference in the level of mathematical modeling literacy between the students in the second grade and the non municipal districts.In depth analysis,the reasons for the current situation are as follows:(1)Senior two students do not systematically learn or understand the knowledge of mathematical modeling.(2)Compared with the ordinary class,the mathematics teachers in the experimental class pay more attention to infiltrating the idea of mathematical modeling in their daily teaching.(3)The reading comprehension ability of middle school students is low,and they can't look at practical problems from the perspective of mathematics.(4)The innovation ability of middle school students is low,and the knowledge reserve and knowledge expansion are insufficient.
