Deep learning is a hot topic in recent years, which conforms to the requirements of our country's talent cultivation in the future. The teaching of classical Chinese prose, embodying the unity of instrumental and humanism, is an important part in language teaching. Moreover, Junior high school is a key period for students to have a good command of the basic knowledge of it.Therefore, it has great importance to promote students to have a deep learning of it.Based on the deep learning, the paper firstly probes into the connotation and characteristics of deep learning theoretically as well as students' ability and performance in deep learning. Then,the author analyzes the current situation of the teaching in classical Chinese prose in the junior high school, with its connotation and characteristics as the evaluation standard. Finally the paper tries putting forward some teaching strategies to promote students to learn classical Chinese prose deeply, which is directed by the present teaching situation and three characteristics of deep learning.In the aspect of strengthening the comprehension, we can adopt the path-thinking pattern, as well as process, causal and composition analysis, aiming to clarify the author's thought and the skeleton of context; In the aspect of promoting students' reflection, we can adopt the learning method based on problem, and give the feedback and evaluation timely, aiming to promote students' metacognitive ability as well as the reflection on the learning methods,processes and results; In the aspect of cultivating students' integration ability, teachers should pay attention to the similarities and consistency of classical Chinese and vernacular in the class, leading students to explore the prototype image and finally make the students grasp the Chinese traditional culture from the macro perspective; After school, teachers and the school can set up courses based on students' interests and characteristics. The school teachers can also design long-tem projects based on the local cultural resources and ask students to team up and make a report about their exploration.
