The Study Of The Compilation And Interpretation History Of "Dream Of Red Mansions" In Chinese Textbooks

The novel Dream of Red Mansions, also called The Story of the Stone, is one of the four great classical novels as well as the peak of Chinese classical novels.Although research achievements are massive about this novel, few treatises or work are related to its selection in our Chinese textbook from a historical view systematically and comprehensively. This treatise is to comb out the truth of misreading from almost a century of interpretation of "Dream of Red Mansions" and give suggestions about its selection and interpretation in Chinese textbooks so as to offer some instructive references on it in our Chinese teaching.This treatise consists of four chapters, the first three chapters would take the period under the influence of intellectuals, the period under the influence of ideology and the period under the influence of new period as three hitting-points illustrating teaching materials in different historical periods and the interpretations of the selection in different historical conditions, and it would also discuss the gains and losses of the compilation and interpretation of the Dream of Red Mansions in the textbook. The last chapter intends to give suggestions on its selection and interpretation and try to unify between the ideology and Chinese education,diversified comprehension and diverse and limited answers, rational analysis and emotional experience, trying to break out the invisible fence between academia and Chinese teaching circles so as to get effective adoption from research achievements to its teaching practice.
