Recently,reading is becoming increasingly the focus of attention in society.The report of the 18th Party Congress encouraged to develop the national reading activity,report on the Work of the Government advanced nationwide reading in 2014,and the report on the government's work proposed to build the learning society and improve national quality in 2015.All of these represent reading has becoming the strategic plan of the government.Chinese course standard of full-time compulsory education also bring up new demands for students' reading,which clearly points to master independent reading ability,mold character,develop personality and replenish students' spirits.In addition,this standard makes the s pecific quantified requirements:the students in the third learning stage(5-6grade)should read more books,the after school-reading gross must no less than one million words,and learn to do some enquiry-driven reading and expand areas of reading by using the information from libraries and internet.Towns and villages are the areas with the less developed education for a long time.So,improve the environment of reading is good for pupils in towns to optimize learning resources,advance compulsory education balanced development and improve the construction of a scholarly campus.This paper takes the three township primary schools in J County of northern Jiangsu as an example,through the questionnaire survey and interview survey,investigating the present situation of school reading environment construction of township primary school.Analyzing the problems in detail about the limited existing material conditions in the township primary school and underutilized,neglect the interaction of peer interaction,teacher guidance and other interpersonal resources,lack of school reading cultural activities,poor reading atmosphere of campus,lack of institutionalization of students' reading,Network reading environment construction is still in the initial construction period.The main reasons for the formation of these problems are the unbalanced development of compulsory education in urban and rural areas,the rural primary school reading conditions are restricted,the school education concept is backward,and the examination-oriented education teaching activities are still popular and so on.On the basis of further explore the reasons,giving the guiding strategies:learn from foreign experiences to create a school reading system environment,build eco-oriented school reading material environment,cultivate a harmonious reading community,create interpersonal resources and environment,organize a variety of activities to build constructive cultural atmosphere on campus.
