| The teacher group is vulnerable to the threat and impact of job burnout because of the uniqueness of the teacher’s profession.The teachers in rural junior high school are more vulnerable to the threats and injuries of the occupational burnout because of the uniqueness of the object of education.The physical and mental health of rural junior high school teachers has been deeply threatened and hurt by job burnout so far.Junior high school teachers are part of the promoters and undertakers of the new round of curriculum reform.Whether the job burnout can be controlled effectively or not,it will determine not only the physical and mental health of teachers,the teacher troop construction,the healthy growth of students,but also the school education teaching quality and the promotion of the basic education reform.Therefore,it’s necessary to make the research on the problems of junior high school teachers’ job burnout.In addition to providing an evidence-based scientific basis for improving the quality of rural education and teaching,it can provide a valuable reference for improving and strengthening the management and construction of rural junior high school teachers.First of all,this study conducted the questionnaire survey of 180 teachers from three urban junior high schools and three rural junior high schools in Xinhui district of Guangdong Province randomly.Using the teacher job burnout questionnaire(MBI-ES)prepared by Maslach as an original version.To reveal the present situation of junior high school teachers’ job burnout in rural areas and urban areas and the difference between them,the study compares the differences of the teachers’ burnout between the rural junior high schools and urban junior high schools from 5 aspects of the demographic variables,including the differences lied in gender,class teacher’s roles,teaching ages,teaching grades and professional titles.The investigation result indicates that,the job burnout of junior high school teachers in Xinhui is not serious,but the degree of job burnout in rural junior high school teachers is significantly higher than that in urban junior high school teachers.In the terms of gender,class teacher’s role,teaching ages,teaching grades and professional titles,the degree of the rural junior high school teachers’ job burnout is higher than that of the urban teachers’.Then,the study,interviewing four in-service teachers and a teacher who has left the profession from these six junior high schools randomly,mainly analyzes the reasons of the senior high school teachers’ job burnout after an in-depth analysis.Here are the reasons that cause the job burnout of rural junior middle school teachers.At the social level,the social praise has a conflict with the weak position of teachers and the social expectations are in conflict with the teacher expectations.At the school level,the school evaluation management and incentive mechanism are in conflict with the teachers work enthusiasm.The school rigid management is in conflict with the human management as well.In the professional level,the time psychological weight is in conflict with affordability,and the education objects are special.At the individual level,the teachers have multiple roles in the conflict.They appear interpersonal imbalance,self-evaluation and lower value orientation.They have differences in the teacher’s Personal Character and Comprehensive Quality.Finally,according to the relevant status and main reasons,here are the strategies to alleviate the job burnout of rural junior high school teachers.For the government,it should play the role of the policy guidance and build a stable social support system.For the school,it should not only improve the teacher evaluation and incentive mechanism but also establish a people-oriented system.What’s more,it should try to reduce the workload of teachers.It should pay attention to the professional and technical training of the rural junior middle school teachers to enhance their professional satisfaction.For individuals,teachers should pay attention to self-awareness and enrich themselves. |
