In recent years,there are great challenges and competitions in all walks of life with the globalization and informatization of social and economic development.In order to adapt to the needs of social reform,our education industry has also undergone an unprecedented huge reform so the teachers are under great pressure.Teachers' occupational burnout has become the "invisible killer" that endangers teachers' physical and mental health in the 21 st century.The comprehensive quality and ability of teachers will have a direct impact on the cultivation of future social builders and successors,and even affect the long-term development of social economy.Therefore,it is particularly important to research the current situation and causes of teachers' occupational burnout in order to find effective intervention mechanism.High school teachers face the adolescent students who tend to start from their own interests,and often look at problems in a one-sided and extreme way as they are more self-centered although they have a certain degree of rationality.Therefore,it is more difficult for teachers and students to build a harmonious interpersonal relationship.High school is not only the end of basic education,but also the starting point of higher education,so the quality of high school education is crucial to the whole educational process.As a result,it gives high school teachers a heavier burden.At present,high school geography is a compulsory subject for liberal arts students in college entrance examination,which has a great impact on students' further study.Most of students think that geography is the most difficult subject in liberal arts.They are tired of geography because of the difficulty of study and the low score of examination,which thus affects geography teachers' passion.In addition,high school geography teachers also have to bear the pressure from family,school,society so they are prone to occupational burnout due to their heavy burden.In this research,the author firstly analyzes the domestic and foreign researches on teachers' burnout,geography teachers of high school and so on,and he gives some thoughts on the occupational burnout of high school geography teachers according to his observation in real life.Secondly,by comparing various measurement tools of occupational burnout,he takes the “Questionnaire on occupational Burnout of Primary and Secondary School Teachers” further revised and compiled by Wu Xinchun and other scholars in 2016 according to MBI-ES as the measurement tool of this research,which not only takes into account our cultural characteristics and times features of education,but also is conducive to the comparative analysis of similar studies and deepening theoretical research.In addition,the author classifies the reasons of high school geography teachers' occupational burnout based on literature and interviews to compile an attributional questionnaire about occupational burnout of high school geography teachers,and analyzes the reasons of burnout from the aspects of individual,organization,society,family and professional characteristics of geography teachers.Finally,tracing the source to find the medicine,the author proposes an effective intervention mechanism to alleviate the occupational burnout of high school geography teachers.The result of research shows that:(1)Teachers' burnout has invaded geography teachers of high school in Chengdu.The three dimensions of occupational burnout are characterized by high emotional exhaustion,low personal accomplishment and dehumanization,and the degree of occupational burnout is low;(2)There are certain differences in demographic variables about occupational burnout of high school geography teachers in Chengdu,for example,the average value of male burnout in three dimensions is higher than that of female,and the probability of burnout of teachers with higher age and teaching experience is lower;(3)It is found that the occupational burnout of high school geography teachers in Chengdu has regional characteristics By horizontal comparison with the research of Wu Xinchun et al.;(4)The high school geography teachers with serious occupational burnout have the following characteristics: Young and middle-aged,low professional title,dissatisfaction with wages,from ordinary schools,etc;(5)The attribution analysis shows that the main reasons for the occupational burnout of high school geography teachers in Chengdu include school organization factors,social factors,and professional characteristics of high school geography teachers.Finally,in this research,the author puts forward some effective intervention countermeasures for high school geography teachers' occupational burnout from three aspects of individual,organization and society,which has certain theoretical and practical significance.
