At the end of the twentieth century, spatial turn in academia integrated many disciplines, which also raised the concern about literary space. From the perspective of construction and reconstruction of the space in literature, text interpretation can took on a completely new look.This thesis reexamines the text selection in Chinese high school textbooks published by Jiangsu Education Publishing House from a spatial perspective. It focuses on text themselves under the background of six concrete stages, including metropolis, countries, squares, underclass, action and spirit, trying to guide students to pay attention to the literary space. From this angle, it is easier to dig into themes appropriately and concrete the abstract contents with in-depth thinking and spatial concept.The thesis mainly involves intensive reading and text analysis from the presentation to the connotation of texts. Certain examples are given to interpret different types of text space, with specific methods, such as comparison,reconstruction, Heterotopia interpretation, association, intuitive guide and so on.By comparing the difference, absence or deformation between the inner cultural landscape and the real space, offering examples of the same spatial kind,reconsidering the distorted space in texts, the thesis is aimed at improving the reading ability and critical thinking of students.
