Women teachers are important strength in our country.In the whole education system.female teachers account for more than half of the total number of primary and secondary school teachers,and they are burdened with three identities.namely,sex,subject,and career ones.Due to the influence of the exam-oriented education,primary and secondary school teachers,whose career is considered to be noble,leisurely,comfortable and stable.are currently under the stress of enrolment rate,especially in the stage of high school education.What is the preseent status of development of high school female teachers?This is a problem worthy of attention and research.This study takes women teachers of S county in Subei high school as its subjects,using the methods of questionnaire,interview and the case study.It researches on the present high school teachers' occupational development's present situation and existing problems.Its findings are hoped to solve the problem of high school teachers' occupational development so as to put forward thinking and suggestions.The paper consists of five parts:Chapter one is introduction,including the selected reason,the meaning,purpose,research method and outline.Chapter two consists of literature review and definition of relevant concepts.It mainly focus on the relevant domestic teachers' occupational development and career development related to research literature.At the same time,this paper studies the theoretical basis of the interpretation.Chapter three,a survey on the occupational development of women teachers in S county high school.This chapter takes SY and ZD middle school as an example for analysis.It overall introduces the structure of teachers and the proportion of female teachers,terms of gender,job title,qualifications,duties.Meanwhile,it sums up the characteristics of occupational development of female teachers in S county by way of questionnaire and quantitative research to analyze the degree to which they put energy to their profession and the effect the two-child policy has on them..Chapter four,problems exist in the occupational development of the female teachers in S county.It shows the main problem existing in their development by way of qualitative interviews on the six teachers with different personalities and backgrounds.The results show the differences in their personalities,leading to different attitudes to their profession,the burden of recruitment and the strong atmosphere of exam-oriented education.Besides analyzing the problems,this chapter also analyzes the factors causing the problems.Chapter five analyzes how to promote the development of the female teachers,and the author puts forward some suggestions on how to solve the problems above.
