Affected by the mode of university entrance examination in Jiangsu Province,Senior Three students spend most of their time and energy on the subjects of Chinese,Maths and English. Teachers of elective subjects have limited teaching hours and students usually can't spare time to work on elective subjects after class. But if a student gets a level lower than B, he will not be accepted by some prestigious universities. So the traditional "one size fits all" teaching methods which neglect the individuality of students don't apply to the current Senior Three students, as these methods can't cater to the needs of every individual student.Therefore, to improve the efficiency of review lessons, we teachers should help students make different review plans according to their levels. Only in this way can every student make progress and improve the grades of elective subjects.Before the research, I investigate and analyze the current situation of the review lessons of Biology in Grade Three to see whether it's necessary and feasible to implement level teaching pattern. Not only students are divided according to their levels, but also teaching goal and method are divided. So are exercise and teacher's evaluation. Combining level teaching with learning plan-guided teaching,question-driven teaching and group work-based teaching, I want to explore a new efficient teaching model.Questionnaires, interview, experiment and case study are used to collect data.After a year's research, I find out that level teaching pattern is beneficial to improving the grades of students and their ability to solve problems. Also, students' enthusiasm is aroused, the study manner of students is diverted and students' confidence is enhanced. Last but not least, level teaching pattern has a positive effect on the teacher-student relationship and student-student relationship. Students' team spirit and social skills are improved too.
