Practices are playing an increasingly irreplaceable role in subject curriculum under the background of new curriculum reform.It has been recognized by numerous people that practices in subject exert an anchoring effect on the multidimensional goals involving implementation method,emotional attitude and value and so on and so forth.However,the states of extracurricular activities in biology have been pessimistic for now,and the researches in this subject particularly are insufficient.Therefore,the author took the conditions of extracurricular biological activities in Gong Ming middle school as an example in order to carry out the applied research a little more all-roundly during the internship,in order to find out a few quite good approaches to enhance the biological extra-curriculum activities.The research planned to consider PEP biology textbooks as study materials,and the four classes in grade seven the research objects.It turned to three aspects regarding organizing activities after class in biology at the stage of junior middle school.First of all,the author set out the contents and detailed implementing plans of extracurricular activities on the foundation of characteristics of teaching materials,the physical and mental development pattern of these students as well as the actual situation of Gong Ming middle school.Second,the author made a conclusion about the steps and strategies of practical activities of two kinds,and gave an explanation on the process of carrying them out in the meanwhile.Third,the author brought forward an opinion on the matter of difficulties encountered and improving countermeasures in the way of interviews.Moreover,the questionnaire method was selected and exercised so as to testify whether certain conditions,such as interest and level of creativity,had moved in a comparatively positive direction after participating in sequences of extra activities after class.The results suggested that extra-curriculum practices concerning biology in junior middle school exerted a significantly positive influence on junior students' learning in the subject,such as learning interest,creativity,achievement,etc.The experienced biology teachers in the middle school fully affirmed the significance of the research.This paper demonstrated the necessity of organizing the extra-curriculum practices in biology with the aid of theories of psychology and experimental data.However,there must be still a few of deficiencies in the research.First of all,the experiment time was limited and short because of certain objective factors.Second,the paper cannot make sure that the strategies or plans of extra-curriculum practices are beneficial and helpful for the whole part of junior students and their learning contents on account of small sample size.Third,the statistics in evaluation scale ought to be much more comprehensive and they should be conducted and disposed increasingly thoroughly and systematically.It is hoped that the research can provide a little reference for the further studies on this subject in the coming years.
