Case Study Involved In The Study Of Psychological Problems In Traffic Accident Victims

China has entered the automobile age.The number of motor vehicles is increasing rapidly as well as the number of drivers.The total number of traffic accidents is also increasing in proportion.Especially in the heavy traffic accidents,some injured people will produce all kinds of psychological problems after experiencing the physical problems.It not only disturbs their normal life and work,but also brings security risks to the society.Therefore,it’s very necessary to study the psychological problems of injured people in traffic accidents.For the reason that the author worked as a social worker during the internship and had contacts with the injured in traffic accidents,the initial idea of whether we can use the professional knowledge of social work to serve the people comes to my mind.First,through field investigations and interviews,this thesis investigates the injured in traffic accidents,analyzes the psychological problems of them,and finds that the victims will produce the psychological problems such as interpersonal difficulties,environmental maladjustment,emotional instability,self acceptance barriers,even anxiety,depression and hostility after the accident.The main reason of having these mental problems is the lack of rapid psychological intervention,timely and effective communication,irrational knowledge guidance and so on.Through the demand assessment,it is found that the needs of the service objects express as the need for health,the need for emotion,the need for interpersonal interaction,the need for culture and entertainment and the need for self-realization.Secondly,on the basis of explaining the necessity and feasibility of case work serving the psychological problems of the traffic accident injured,the thesis analyzes that case work service can help to correct the physical and mental disturbance and behavior deviation of the injured,improve their quality of life and make up for the contraction between the increase of the current accident injured group and the shortage of service.Meanwhile,it clarifies the feasibility of case work method serving the psychological problems of the traffic accidents injured in social work.It expresses as the scientificalness of the idea,the comprehensiveness of the function,the skill of the method and the particularity of the personnel.Thirdly,we use case work method to serve psychological problems of traffic accident victims.The thesis focuses on the practical study and selects the caseexperiencer Mr.Hu to carry out the case service.The process mainly includes six contents which are case-taking,prediction,planning,intervention service,evaluation and case-closing.It tries to intervene in the psychological problems of the traffic injured from the practical methods of Maslow’s hierarchy demand theory,social support theory and advantage angle theory,which presents the concrete operation of the work in a relatively complete way.Finally,summarize and profoundly reconsider aiming at case service.The thesis gets a good effect on the psychological problems of the traffic accident injured using the professional method of case social work.However the writer thinks there are still problems such as less involvement of social workers in the field of traffic accidents,ethical dilemma in professional aspect,limited integration of resources,unsystematic application of professional methods and techniques,poor effect of intervention and so on.To deal with these problems,we should pay attention to the psychological problems of the injured people in the accidents,set up the service target properly according to the differences of the case experience,make full use of the consolation function of the genetic relationship,build a high-quality professional team of social workers and increase the government investment to ensure social worker’s service.
