Since 2009,colleges and universities of China have begun to enroll more and more fresh graduates as full-time professional master of agriculture,which aims to speed up the transformation of the function of service government and the economic structure.because of the time to recruit full-time Master shorter,The training model still follows the training mode of academic talents,lacking the characteristics and innovation of professional degree.Especially they are still at the exploration stage of training models with the issues of methods and quality in the local colleges and universities.The paper,based on this,makes a survey on the status of training of agricultural master and find the existing issues,then proposes the methods and relevant suggestions of training model in order to give some references for improving training model of agricultural master of local colleges and universities.The report,based on the guidance of National Steering Committee of Agricultural Graduate Education for training program of agricultural graduate,mainly analyzes training aims,curriculum setting,teaching methods and quality evaluation in order to learn about some connotation and features of agricultural graduate.Then with these elements as starting points and footholds,it applies questionnaire survey and interview to study the current situation of training.The results show some issues,including students' insufficient understanding for this major,weak appropriateness of training aims,less practical courses,and weak theory of teaching methods and supervisors'guidance on and off campus,The evaluation system lacks the evaluation of students' learning output.By analyzing their reasons and taking American experience as references,some suggestions are put forward:firstly optimizing students' structure and controlling enrollment;secondly having a comprehensive understanding of training aims and promoting appropriateness;thirdly taking practical ability as guidance to improve training process;and fourthly enhancing construction of practical bases with the joint efforts of universities and enterprises;fifthly optimizing supervisors' team to promote double tutorial system;finally improving evaluation system to attach importance to practical assessment.
