Taiwan's National Liberal Arts Remedial Teaching Research

This study focuses on the concepts,goals,teaching strategies and specific steps of Taiwan's liberal arts remedial teaching and analyzes and summarizes the effectiveness based on the experience of remedial classroom teaching.In order to achieve the goal,the author invited some professors of Taiwan Normal University and local predecessors of Chinese liberal arts remedial teaching to participate in the research.During the process,the author conducted the research in the forms of interview,document analysis and investigation based on reports.Combing with the author's experience in Taiwan,some operational methods,which is helpful to apply the experience of Taiwan to Chinese language learning in remedial teaching have been put forward at last.In the first three chapters,this thesis gives an overview of "remedial teaching in Taiwan's liberal arts",and analyzes the psychological characteristics as well as cognitive rules of the low-achieving children who have been remedied.At the same time,Taking Fuhe Senior high school in New Taipei City as an example,the author proves the effectiveness of remedial teaching on low achievers' language learning.The fourth chapter is about the practical research.In this part,the author explored the teaching experience:such as to compile specialized teaching materials;to carry out scientific and technical evaluation;to screen victim for rescue carefully and to teach student reading strategies;to give students a specific support in learning,combing the experience of remedial teaching in Taiwan's liberal arts with our own specific teaching cases.Meanwhile,this article also made a corresponding reflection and expectation on Chinese language teaching in the mainland.According to this study,on one hand,we can make readers understand the concrete implementation process and the achievement of remedial teaching in Taiwan.On the other hand,strategies and paths that are really beneficial to students' language learning can be applied to Chinese language class,so as to help poor students,especially for low-achieving students to learn Chinese more effectively.In addition,to provide a few ideas for teachers in their teaching.
