Since the 21 st century,the development of science education in China has received unprecedented attention.Next Generation Science Standards(NGSS),released in 2013,produced a big response in China's Science education sector.Currently,education of primary science in our country mainly adopts the concept and method of "scientific inquiry",and there are many problems in teaching.Based on the experience of education in foreign science,to explore the new model of education in China is an important course teaching research on the future development of the country.This paper analyze elementary school science curriculum Hundred Thousand Whys,especially its teaching design Hundred Thousand Teacher's Manual which is introduced from America and guided by NGSS.On the basis of studying the theory and structure of NGSS,this paper will analyze its connections with NGSS,restructure the related courses teaching design based on NGSS and combine with cases in the field of life science to analyze and exhibit,so as to put the NGSS scientific teaching concept into the science education in our country,and provide a reference point of view about improving the primary school science education,to help Chinese elementary school science teachers understand and apply “science and engineering practices” in NGSS,put the theory and method of this course creatively into China in the elementary school science class,and inject new vitality in improving elementary student's scientific literacy in China.This thesis divided into the following parts:The first part clarified the research reasons,purpose and significance of this paper.Put forward the research methods and research ideas of this paper,and presented foreign and domestic existing related researches.The second part combed NGSS text content and clarified its structure and theory.Including NGSS development and progress,the structure and layout,three dimensions and their connotations.The third part summarized NGSS curriculum design.Including NGSS curriculum ideas,the elementary school curriculum goals of life science,the implementation guiding principles of NGSS.The fourth part: Teaching design and concrete cases of elementary school science curriculum were analyzed based on NGSS.This part consists of three contents.First,teaching design of Hundred Thousand Teacher's Manual was introduced,analyzedand reorganized based on NGSS.Second,the cases analysis of teaching design of Hundred Thousand Teacher's Manual based on NGSS.Classic cases in the field of life sciences were selected,and detailed analysis was made from several aspects.Third,teaching design cases which integrate science and engineering practices were demonstrated based on NGSS.Try to reveal the characteristics of elementary school science teaching design based on NGSS through the four classical cases in the field of life science.The fifth part: Based on the investigation of Hundred Thousand Teacher's Manual elementary school science curriculum teaching,to analyze and summarize the primary school science curriculum implementation,as well as the enlightenment from the implementation of Hundred Thousand Teacher's Manual.
