The development of science and technology has brought unprecedented progress to the society. The pace of development of science education should not be confined to elite education. The improvement of scientific literacy of all citizens has become a hot topic in science education. In science education,HPS education concept is guided by constructivism, which advocates the integration of the history of science, philosophy of science and sociology of science as an innovative new concept of international science education reform.According to many existing researches, the new mode of science education guided by this concept can enable students to construct scientific knowledge more comprehensively, enhance scientific inquiry ability more effectively, and develop scientific literacy more significantly.Looking at the research status at home and abroad, there is still a lack of research on integrating HPS education concept into primary school science curriculum. In particular, the content and current situation of HPS in primary school science curriculum and the cognitive attitude of teachers and students towards HPS need to be further investigated and studied.Based on this, this study using the literature material, questionnaire survey and interview survey method, combining with the characteristics of elementary school science teaching materials, curriculum standards, the basic situation, discusses the HPS education idea in the elementary school science and the problems existing in the teaching design,in view of the problems related HPS teaching strategy, and carries on the teaching design in the form of case, finally provide some practical Suggestions.First of all, this study investigated the teaching status quo of integrating science into HPS education concept in primary schools in W City by means of questionnaire survey and interview.According to the results of the teacher survey, although teachers believe that the content of HPS has educational value and pay attention to the training of scientific methods in teaching, they cannot flexibly and effectively use the HPS education concept to realize the innovation of teaching practice in the teaching process due to their insufficient understanding of the connotation of HPS.In terms of teaching arrangement, teachers' teaching strategies and methods need to be further improved due to the limitation of class hours and content.According to the survey results of students, they have a strong interest in the contents of HPS,but they are superficial about the contents of HPS,and do not internalize the nutrition of scientific spirit and scientific literacy. Then, combining with the current situation of primary school science education in W City, the teaching design of primary school science in W City is optimized based on the HPS education concept. In this study, the teaching design of three typical cases in the teaching science textbooks for primary schools is carried out,and the teaching design path of primary school science based on HPS education concept is explored respectively from the historical materials of practical science, the historical materials of subject science and the historical materials of extended science. Finally, according to the teaching design, the corresponding teaching practice activities are carried out in the science classroom. After teaching practice,in-depth one-to-one interviews were conducted with teachers and students respectively, and the research results of instructional design were obtained. On the whole, students have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of scientific knowledge, and have improved their cooperation, communication and operational ability to a certain extent. Moreover, their scientific literacy is expected to be greatly improved.
