Investigation And Research On The Status Quo Of Wushu Teaching In Physical Education In Some Primary Schools In Shanghai

Wushu,the martial arts,is the treasure of Chinese traditional culture,whose development is connected to inheritance of ethnic culture.Primary education plays an important role in social culture edification,values formation and ethnic spirit construction individually.Wushu,combining cultural education and physical education,can not only be good for primary students' health both physically and mentally,but also have significant meaning in the aspect of Chinese martial arts inheritance.Through the method of the documentation,survey,interview,observation and statistic,a deep investigation has been carried out in sixteen primary schools distributed in nine districts of Shanghai to research the current situation of the Wushu education.Through the questionnaire,students' knowledge on martial arts has been cleared.In accordance with the result of the survey in different schools,the curriculum provision,the augmenting of the teaching staff and the teaching environment can be uncovered.At the same time,after having deep conversations with front-lines teachers and faculties,their attitude towards the martial arts and problems in the process of carrying out the curriculum can be unclosed.The survey results show that: Wushu education in Shanghai Primary School have been reformed innovatively to keep pace with the times on the basis of carrying on the traditional culture.In the aspect of the teaching aims,although they are humanization,yet they are confusing during the process of teaching.As for the content of the course,the much attention has been paid in promoting the traditional items and leading in new sport projects,such as selecting basic knowledge,methods and skills as students learning content,which is in line with the social development and students' physical development.However,both the essence of Wushu and traditional culture have been lacked.In the aspect of teaching methods and teaching skills,it is useful for the most teachers to applying various teaching methods.Learning attitude and cognition and the ability of accomplishment of technical actions are the teaching assessment.The shortage of professional gymnasium,equipment is the main problem of teaching environment,which needs to be promoted.Last but not the least,teaching staff should be further optimized.
