| The building block play is an important part of the kindergarten plays,it has the remarkable function to the children’s physical coordination ability,the mathematics thinking ability,the sociality development.The constructional level of children’s building blocks is a key factor in measuring the situation of children’s building blocks,some children arrive at the large class,the construction level of large-scale building blocks is still at a relatively low level,However,many kindergarten teachers are still confused about how to improve the constructional level of children’s building blocks.In order to improve the constructional level of children’s building blocks,according to the status of large group children’s building blocks,the aim of this study is to improve the game environment of kindergartens and design a set of activity plans to promote the constructional level of children’s building blocks,and through experimental research validate the effectiveness of the activity program,sums up the characteristics of the activity program.The study focused on 50 children in two large classes in a public kindergarten in Shanghai(kindergarten G).Among them,there were 24 children in experimental classes and 26 children in control classes,with a ratio of 1:1 for boys and girls.The study found that the current situation of large class children’s building block plays has the following problems: For the physical environment of the play,it lack the number of blocks,lack play time,monotonous environment layout,and lack game routines;For the teachers,they less focus on plays but focus on teaching,let young children build blocks freely and lack the instructional skills of building blocks.For the young children themselves,they lack relevant experience in plays and the constructional level of building blocks is not high.Through the “CA Building Block Scoring Tool”,the constructional level of the children in the experimental class was investigated from the two dimensions of constructional skills and structural balance of the building blocks.The results showed that most of children in large class had mastered the skills of overhead and enclosing,and could imitate the hollow layer skill.The balance of building blocks of large class children’s building blocks is related to the construction methods and content.The scores of the structural balance in constructing the simulation sample pictures are obviously higher than those in free constructions and propositional constructions.According to the current situations of large class children’s building block plays,the constructional level of children’s building blocks is promoted from the improvement of the kindergarten physical environment and the design of activity intervention programs.After implementing the intervention program for 8 weeks and twice per week in the experimental class,repeated measures analysis of variance was used to test the changes in the constructional level of the large class children’s building blocks.It was found that the building block game activity program promoted the constructional level of large class children.There is no significant difference in the structural balance between the experimental group and the control group in the post-test proposition.Based on the above results,the main points of the activity program are summarized: First,refine difficulty gradient,and design activities scheme step by step.Second,with the help of the picture book,to develop the story situation construction,expand the knowledge experience.Third,according to the different objectives,use different constructional methods flexibly. |
