Research On Mechanism Of Elastic And Plastic Innovation Capability Formation And Transformation

With the in-depth development of economic globalization and the progress of scienceand technology, innovation and innovation capability have become the core power ofcompetition between nations. China has clearly puts forward the strategy that improving thecapability of independent innovation is the key to build an innovative country to improvenational competitiveness and overall national strength. Walking the road of independentinnovation and enhancing enterprises' innovation capability have become an inevitablechoice for sustained, healthy development of enterprises in our country. How to improvethe innovation capability of enterprises, especially the sustained innovation capability sothat enterprises in the fierce market competition remain invincible, obtain good benefit andgain sustainable competitive advantage; which is an urgent problem to be solved.This paper, based on the enterprise research and relevant literature, integrating ofelastic and plastic theory, the behavioral theory of the firm and the theory of innovation,puts forward the definition and connotation of elastic innovation capability and plasticinnovation capability. Elastic innovation capability: Under the factors continuous influence,innovation capability is significantly promoted; when the factors do not exist, theinnovation capability recovers and cannot be preserved. Plastic innovation capability: If theinfluence factors form and play a role, they can continuously promote innovation capabilityand make it preserved. Then, this paper discusses the formation mechanism of enterpriseelastic innovation capability, plastic innovation capability and the transformationmechanism of the elastic innovation capability to plastic innovation capability; based on theabove, this paper proposes the hypothesis. Then, based on the183samples, this paperapplies SPSS and smart PLS statistical tools for processing data and analyzing the data, andtests the hypotheses. The empirical results show that, environmental jolt, organizationalslack and past performance form the elastic innovation capability; past performance,organizational aspiration and past performance relative to aspiration form plastic innovationcapability; elastic innovation capability positively influence the formation of plasticinnovation capability. Finally, the paper puts forward the improving path of enterpriseelastic innovation capability, plastic innovation capability and elastic innovation abilitytransforming to plastic innovation capability.
