Ordinated Development Of Hainan Area Under The New Urbanization

In2014, the report of government work about "two sessions" pointed that the new urbanization is the strong support to promote the balanced regional development. The new urbanization is an important way to achieve modernization. The uncoordinated regional development is a long-term problem of the Regional development in Hainan which severely restricts the development of Hainan. In recent years, Hainan is accelerating the construction of new urbanization which is a good opportunity for Hainan to resolve the regional development issues. In this context, the study plan to research the coordinated regional development in Hainan under the new urbanization perspective.This study has six parts. The first part includes the background, the research methods, the lack of the research and the possible innovations. The second part defines the related concepts, then reviews and comment on the relevant literature. The third part analysis the new urbanization process and the status of Hainan. The fifth part is the focus of this study. In this part we reference empirical research on regional coordinated development at home and abroad, and combined with the new urbanization analysis indicators, establish index system from three aspects of economic, social and ecological, analysis the situation of the development of coordinated regional in Hainan. By region analysis found that the more coordination areas of the18cities and counties are mainly distributed in the eastern, the discordant mainly in the central and western regions. By interregional analysis found that the economic and social tends to coordinated development, the ecological tends uncoordinated development, and the economic, social and ecological comprehensive tends to coordinated development. The sixth part put forward some suggestions to the regional development issues in new urbanization of Hainan.
