Researching the coordination will be helpful to effectively promote the development of new type of urbanization in our country, and help to promote the urbanization quality quickly.First of all, build the index system of population urbanization and economic development, at the same time to collect the relevant data in China statistical yearbook, the 31 areas in China in 2010-2013 level 3 indicators data through the maximum value method for standardization, and then USES the entropy value method to determine index weight matrix, recycling using weighted linear and determine the level of economic indicators, the use of the commonly used coordination calculation method to calculate 2010-2013 national and provincial level index of coordination of population urbanization and economic development.The study found that the best coordination is given priority to with coastal areas, these areas of foreign economic trade is frequent, people’s living standard is higher, the population urbanization index is slightly higher than the economic development index, the overall coordination is higher; Inland areas such as Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, belongs to the transitional region, these provinces economic development level is inferior to the coastal areas, it due to the weakness of the natural endowment and the national policy tilt, the study found that these areas of population urbanization appeared serious lag, this is due to the low level of its economy, mountainous area is more, the city population is lower, the rural population is more, at the same time, people’s living standard needs to be improved and improve way, and cause the population urbanization level is low; Tibet, Gansu, Ningxia and other remote areas belong to the imbalance type areas of population urbanization and economic development, these areas belong to the type of population urbanization lag. In terms of the country, most of them belong to the type of population urbanization lag, which greatly restricted the rapid economic development. The study found that:on the one hand, the national census register restrictions lead to restriction of urban population growth; On the other hand, influenced by traditional ideas, their inherent in the way of life is not easy to change. In order to shift the way of life, our country should make some effort in the economic development, rural construction and the education of conception.
