The central six provinces are located in the hinterland of China, where there are abundant resources and solid industrial and agricultural foundation. No matter in geographical location or in Chinese economic territory, the central six provinces play an important strategic role in connecting east and west, north and south. With the gradual implementation and development of “the rise of central China strategy”, the central six provinces should seize the opportunity of favorable policy to promote the adjustment of industrial structure and the development of economy. The logistics industry is the product of social and economic development to a certain stage, which is a composite industry including logistics resources in agriculture, manufacturing and service industries. Logistics industry is considered as a booster for regional economic development, the level of which is an important symbol to measure a country or a region's comprehensive strength and the degree of modernization. From the process of development, the logistics industry and regional economy is in the relation of mutual promotion, collaborative development. On the one hand, the development of logistics industry, can reduce the cost of economic operation, expand the scope of the market, promote the circulation of commodities, and accelerate the process of regional integration. On the other hand, the improvement of economy can increase the logistics demand, promote the level of logistics service and technology, and accelerate the development of logistics industry. So if the central six provinces want to keep the good momentum of development, they must maintain the mutual promotion relationship between the logistics industry and regional economy, and promote the coordinated development of both. This paper mainly from the following aspects expounds the problems of the coordinate development between the logistics industry and regional economy in the central six provinces of China. First of all, based on studying a large number of domestic and foreign literatures document, and according to the relevant theory of logistics industry and regional economy, this paper analyzes the mechanism of the logistics industry and regional economic interaction. Secondly, through the analysis of the central six provinces' current situation including economic growth and logistics development, this paper finds the problems in the process of coordinated development. Thirdly, according to the evaluation principle of the coordinated development between the logistics industry and regional economy, this paper establishes a set evaluation index system, and then uses the R type cluster analysis to select the indicators, and give them the weight by principal component analysis. Fourthly, based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of several evaluation methods, this paper selects the efficacy function method and cross data envelopment analysis method to calculate the coordination degree between system and subsystem, and then uses the weighted average method to obtain the composite system coordination degree. Finally, this paper makes an empirical analysis for the central six provinces' coordinate development between the logistics industry and regional economy from 2009 to 2013. Through analysis and comparison the coordination degree between internal system and system and compound system, it comes to the conclusion that the coordination degree is increasing constantly, but is not increasing in stable state, it is at the risk of imbalance. According to the above mentioned, this paper put forward several suggestions to promote the coordinated development of logistics industry and regional economy in the central six provinces of China.
