Research On The Effects On Social Barriers To Jiangxi Textile Export

As a typical labor-intensive industry,jiangxi textile industry export occupies a considerable proportion in the export trade of jiangxi province.With the comparative advantage of cheap labor,textile industry has always been one of the pillar industry of jiangxi province,having promoted jiangxi economic and social development.Since textile quota canceled in 2005,however,the new trade barriers disputes are common,and already slowly evolving to social barriers from technical barriers and green barriers.And the core problem of the social barriers is labor standards,so the implementation of the social barriers will weaken the comparative advantage of jiangxi textile industry,and then the export of textile industry in jiangxi province will face difficulties.At present,in jiangxi province there are some textile export enterprises losing some orders due to not meeting the requirements of importing countries Labor standards.In this background,therefore,to study the effect of social barriers on textile export of jiangxi province and put forward concrete and feasible policy recommendations,can prompt jiangxi textile industry to thrive better.At present,the studies on the impact of trade barriers on textile industry of jiangxi province are lack,mainly limited to qualitative description of the macro level,there is no good theory support and profound research.There are few literature on quantitative analysis of jiangxi textile industry,so a large gap still exists.This paper regards existing research blank as the breakthrough point,based on the related research results,analyses the theory of social barriers,the present export situation of textile industry in jiangxi province as well as the influence on social barriers to jiangxi textile export,and then establish the empirical regression model analysis framework.Paper first analyzes the theoretical basis of social barriers,including the meaning,characteristics and reasons of social barriers,and expounds the for and against theory and practice on social barriers and regulations on Labor standards of the world major countries and regions.And then The view given in this paper is that the social barriers set up by developed countries bring negative impact to exporters;but as long as taking feasible measures for the positive response,exporters will continue to expand exports.Secondly,this paper expounded the situation of jiangxi textile export trade,mainly focusing on the analysis of jiangxi textile export scale and export structure,export market,export trade method and export competitiveness,having a clear understanding on export of textile industry of jiangxi province.And then analyzed the influence of the social barriers on textile export of jiangxi province,the first part analyses the negative impact on social barriers to jiangxi textile export scale,export costs,export market as well as the export competitiveness,and then analyze the practice effect of jiangxi textile enterprises coping with social barriers.Finally,the empirical analysis part,due to the large reviews focused on the negative impact of social barriers to export,this article will only do empirical analysis on the practice effect of enterprises coping with social barriers.It selects jiangxi textile exports as explained variable,and selects average wage level of jiangxi textile industry on-the-job worker AW,RMB exchange rate EX and the main exporting countries or regions GDP of jiangxi textile industry as explanatory variables.Then do unit root test,cointegration test and granger causality test one by one,according to the results of granger causality test,we can eliminate variable EX,which it constructs the regression model based on,finally analyze the result of the regression model.Research results show that the social barriers will bring some negative influence on the export of textile industry in jiangxi province,reflected in the export scale,export costs,export market and export competitiveness;However,in the long run,to cope with the social barriers,jiangxi textile enterprises will adopt some measures such as improving the Labor conditions,which to a certain extent can improve the export competitiveness of jiangxi textile industry,and promote the healthy and continuous development of jiangxi textile industry.In addition,the regression model results of the empirical analysis show that to raise the level of on-the-job worker wages and the main exporting countries or regions GDP of jiangxi textile industry are both granger causes of increasing textile exports in jiangxi,beneficial to enhance its export competitiveness.Therefore,for jiangxi textile industry,in order to cope with social barriers by developed countries,it is necessary to improve the workers' labor standards,should actively respond to social barriers rather than evading,so as to enhance its international competitiveness.The main innovation point of this article is studying social barriers' influence on textile export from jiangxi level,and carrying on the empirical quantitative analysis.More emphasizing on coping with social barriers actively can promote the progress of the society,accord with the mainstream of the current harmonious society.
