Research On Spatial Distribution Of Hotels In Lanzhou

The spatial distribution of urban hotels has been an academic focus to research by academic circles, especially, has been the focus of the study for Human Geography, because it having been influenced by social, economic, political, cultural, transportation, population and so on.The Lanzhou is the province capital city of Gansu, and is the central position in West area of China, and is a exchange and distribution center of political, economic and cultural. Tourism has become a basic industry in Lanzhou City, with "the Belt and Road" of developing, the number of tourists is increasing every year, and promoted the rapid development of tourism-related industries, such as hotels. So, The study on the spatial distribution of hotels have some reference significance to understanding of foreign lodging industry and reasonable space layout of the city in Lanzhou City. The paper taking with basic data samples of spatial data point of hotels in Lanzhou city, and using spatial statistical analysis software to analysis the spatial distribution characteristics of hotels by of Arc GIS10.2, Crimestat3.3, GeoDa1.6.7.in Lanzhou from the city region, district, neighborhood three levels, tries to explore the possible factors. The main results show that:(1) Totally, the spatial distribution of hotels showing uneven distribution status in Lanzhou City, and basing on small hotels, supplementing by medium sized hotels. The difference is notable of hotels distribution in four districts. The place where the social, economic, political and cultural center are mainly distribution area of hotels in city, and showing decreasing trend of “the steps of the inverted pyramid shape” from Chengguan District to Xigu District. The spatial distribution of various types hotels are relatively large difference in each district. The spatial distribution of large hotels are biggest; the spatial distribution of small and medium hotels are smallest. The distribution of various types of hotels are balanced in Chengguan Distric; the distribution of small and medium hotels hotels are more in Qilihe Distric and Xigu District; the distribution of medium, small and mediumand sized small-scale hotels are coexistence in Anning District.(2) Entirety, the spatial distribution of hotels showing highly concentrated distribution pattern in Lanzhou City, and forming 8 high-density gathering areas with different sizes. These high-density gathering areas are gathering and scattering coexistence situation in the center and Showing the "multi-center" agglomeration spatial distribution structure, and expanding to the surrounding area by the "centers", the distance is greater from the center of a high density, the distribution of the hotel Kernel density values is lower and more scattered. Showing “core-edge”spatial distribution pattern. The traditional old city is core of hotels distribution, as the main body to function-oriented forming different hot spots like "group" shape, " banding " shape and "beaded" shape.(3) The spatial distribution patterns of different types hotels are different, forming different Kernel density gathering area. The large hotels are weakly scattering, forming a high-density area in the center of Panxuan road, and is "scattered dots" distributed around the high-density area. The large-medium sized hotels are weakly agglomeration. The area that Chengguan District is most, followed by the Qilihe District, then the Anning District and Xigu District. The Medium sized, small and medium-sized and small sized of hotels are clustering distribution. Overall, the Xiguan cross, Panxuan road, Railway station, Dongfanghong Square, Bus East station, Xizhan cross, Xiaoxi Lake, East market, Yantan market, Feijiaying cross and Xigu Middle Street are most densely. The high-grade type hotels are " dotted " shape; the lower level type hotels are " flaky " shape.(4) The hotels are most concentrated in Qilihe District, the Chengguan District is second; the segregation of hotels are minor in Xigu District, the hotels are most dispersed in Anning District; the distribution of various hotels are larger differences in every district, and are presenting " the east most,the west less", " the east dense,the west thin ", " medium-small size and small of hotels are dense, medium and medium-large size of hotel are thin ".(5) The distribution of hotel overall number street-level are different and unbalanced in Lanzhou city; the number street-level of hotels are higher, streets grid are more agglomeration; the higher number-level of streets are relatively near, lower number-level of street are more dispersed; the high number-levels of streets are mainly distributing in the area which business trade central, politics and cultural central, transportation hub, tourist attractions, education, science and technology central. The High-High agglomeration areas that distribution of hotel are Gaoxinkaifaqu street, Yannan street, Donggangxilu street and Donggangzhen street. The Low-Low agglomeration area is Chenping street. The Low-High agglomeration areas are Qingbaishi street and Yanchang road street. The High-Low agglomeration area is Sijiqing street.However, the High-High agglomeration areas that distribution of various types of hotel are Yannan street, Donggangi road street, Weiyuan road street, Tuanjiexincun street, Jiauguan road street, Gaolan road street, Zhangye road street, Jiuquan road street, Guangwumen road street, Yanbei street and Donggangzhen street.(6) The spatial distribution of hotels is associated with the history developing of the city, distribution of business centers, main traffic, municipal regional conditions, tourist attractions. Historical factors are basic elements. The distribution of business centers and main traffics are the dominant factors. The business centers have attractive interaction to the spatial distribution of hotels, and traffics are Guiding role. The municipal regional conditions and tourist attractions are important.
