| Mongolia Autonomous Prefecture of Bortala(Bortala for short) Located in the northwest edge of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. Bortala is called "the first portal of Western China" because of It is the link that our country open to the west, it is the key node of economic belt of the Silk Road. From 2015 to 2020, the important strategic opportunity period for Bortala to achieve leapfrog development.This paper attempts to reveal the present situation of Bortala by SWOT analysis. In order to provide reference for Bortala to achieve leapfrog development.
