Analysis Of Influencing Factors Of Farmer's Straw Burning In Situ

Although the annual production of crop straw is huge in China, the utilization rate of crop straw is still limited. Generally, crop straw is dealt with in an open burning or discarded directly by farmers, which not only results in serious waste of resource, but also causes heavy environmental pollution, and thus greatly encumbering the economic development of China.In this thesis, the influence factors on the crop straw burning behaviors of farmers including the characteristics of household head, household characteristics, hazard cognition degree of crop straw on-site burning and external factors were studied by adopting the method of random stratified sampling with Xinan county, Shulan city, Jilin province as a typical research area. Two hundred and twenty five households were surveyed and two hundred and ten questionnaires were returned.The results analyzed from binary Logistic model clearly showed that nearly 42.86%farmers dealt crops straw with the mode of on-site burning, and the crop straw burning behaviors of farmers were affected by the characteristics of household head, household characteristics, hazard cognition degree of crop straw on-site burning and external factors, in which whether the head of the household is a village leader, proportion of family labor and agricultural income, planting area, livestock quantity, family mechanization degree, whether to participate in cooperative, the publicity and penalty efforts of local government on crop straw burning and the cognition degree of farmers on the utilization value of crop straw were negatively related with correlation coefficient of dependent variable, and influence factor from the straw burning behavior of companion was positively related with correlation coefficient of dependent variable. On the basis of the removal of non-significant influencing factors, the crop straw on-site burning model of farmers from Xinan county, Shulan city, Jilin province was obtained, in which the on-site burning behavior of crop straw is defined as“Yes” when P is larger than 0.5, otherwise, the on-site burning behavior of crop straw is defined as “No” when P is less than 0.5.Finally, some good opinions and suggestions were proposed based on the results of binary Logistic model to intervene and reduce the crop straw on-site burning of farmers from the angles of national policy and regulation, the comprehensive utilization of crop straw and the choice of main farm household, which were benefit to analyze and solve the problems of crop straw on-site burning in Jilin province.
