Study On The Reverse Technology Spillover Effect Of China’s ODI To Promoting Industry Structure Upgrade In China

After the international financial crisis,the United States and other developed countries found that the "hollowing out" of industrial do a serious disadvantageous to their country’s economic development,In order to handle this problem,they come up with the re-industrial economic strategy for the purpose of optimizing the industrial structures.However,it provides a rare chance for the development of China’s ODI.In recent years,with the deepen development of China’s openness strategy,the scale of China’s ODI increased dramatically,and it grew faster than the inflow of foreign capital.which is increasingly important for the development of Chinese economy in the mean time,whether the large-scale of ODI have a contribution to industrial structure optimization,and how to assess and measure the effect of this contribution degree,has increasingly become the focus of academic research in the world.This paper is based on this background,generalizing the development history of the thesis systematically,sum up the relevant literature at home and abroad,discuss the reverse technology spillover effect to promoting industry structure upgrade in China,and puts forward a relevant test model.So the research of this paper has important practical significance.Firstly,this paper gives an introduction of the recent literatures concerning the relationship between ODI and industrial structure.Then we analyze ODI’s positive and negative impact on China’s industrial structure adjusting preliminary on the basis of the related concepts,meanings and theoretical analysis of industrial structure and ODI.Secondly,we offer an analysis about the historical process and status quo of China’s ODI;we find that the characteristics of industrial and regional unbalances of China’s ODI,and then we explain the inner logic of impact the ODI on industrial structure from the angle of dynamic reasons of ODI.Based on the previous theoretical of the previous paper,in the empirical part of this paper,we establishes a econometrics model about the effect of ODI promoting industry structure upgrade in China.By the research method of co-integration test,regression analysis and Impulse response regression with Eviews 6.0.Finally we discover that there exist a long-term equilibrium relationship between ODI and the height of Chinese industrial structure.and in the long-term,the ODI is the Granger cause of China’s industrial structure upgrading,the China’s ODI plays a positive role in promoting industrial structure upgrading in our country.In the end,based on the theoretical and empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some relevant policy recommendations on how to exert the influence of ODI on Promoting the optimization of industrial structure in China.
