According to "China International Freight Forwarders Industry 2015 Annual Development Report",up to December 31,2015,there are about 35 000 freight forwarding companies recorded in the business sector.Freight forwarding enterprises have become an important part of China's service trade.However,under the background of the global economic downturn,our freight forwarding companies are obviously at a competitive disadvantage position when competing with big international freight forwarding companies.How to improve the competitiveness of our freight forwarding business? In this article,we make our proposal by improving employee performance appraisal methods of the freight forwarding company.The competition between modern freight forwarding companies,which aim to provide high quality services for their customers,are the competition between the talent of their employees.Reasonable performance appraisal method and attractive performance-based pay system can make employees became sense of trust and loyalty,enabling them to more actively and effectively for business services.Therefore,raising the level of performance management is the key to the freight forwarding business to attract top talent,and is a strong support to enhance the competitiveness of the industry.For these reasons,we introduce an important performance appraisal management--360-degree performance appraisal method,select the Guangdong A freight forwarding company for example,and study the application of the 360-degree performance appraisal in A company.During the study,the author use methods in combining of the literature research,investigation and case analysis,an also obey the basic idea of "raise problem-analyze the problem-solve the problem".First,on the basis of research background,the study discusses purpose and meaning of the performance appraisal in freight forwarding business.According to domestic research literature on the basic theory of 360-degree performance appraisal,we analyze and elaborate the content,characteristics,theoretical basis and applicability of 360-degree performance appraisal.Secondly,by analyzing the A company organizational structure and status of performance appraisal,etc.We study the necessity and feasibility of apply the360-degree performance appraisal to determine objectives,principles,evaluation subjects and four evaluation people.Then,we designed different 360-degree performance evaluation indicators for different evaluation people.We use Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)to give the various dimensions of judgment matrix,use AHPcalculation software calculated the weight of each index and CR values.Then the combined results for overall performance of the managers and employees is calculated.Finally make the performance appraisal management table,the general employee performance appraisal and key task performance evaluation table.We also proposal how to implement 360-degree performance appraisal in A company.Finally,we analyzed the results of 360-degree performance appraisal A company's application,raise some safeguards in order to successfully apply 360-degree performance appraisal.In this article,through research the 360-degree Performance Methods in employees of A company,we hope we can achieve the goals of improving the performance management and competitiveness of A company.Also,we hope we can provide a positive reference for other freight forwarding companies in performance evaluation.
