Research On Eco-Urbanization

Because of the regional and political differences in China,there is significant uneven regional development,as well as vast poor areas.According to the research,most poor area in China is located in the ecologically functional zones or ecologically sensitive areas,which have different functions in protecting the ecology,such as water conservation,soil conservation,windbreak,biodiversity protection,flood storage and so on.The problem which needs to be solved urgently in these type of areas is the contradiction between the economic success and environmental protection.At present,the urbanization in china is gradually transferring to the medium-sized cities and small towns,as well as the poor areas,which have weak ecological conditions,backward infrastructure,but carry the responsibility in protecting the ecology at the same time.How to make an achievement in economic success under the new situation will be the primary problem in these areas.Ecourbanization might be the most proper way to achieve sustainable development.In order to do that,constructing a set of system to evaluate the status of eco-urbanization in poor areas is obviously the first step in the process of the eco-urbanization.This research is undertaking the fundamental work that based on aforementioned thesis.This paper explain the definition of eco-urbanization in poor areas according to mass data collection and analysis from both domestic and foreign literature.The paper also constructed a structure of index system based on evaluating system's principles and targets of developmental framework.The index system,which was designed for poor areas' evaluation,is consists of five parts,including economic growth,ecological environment,social life,sustainable development and ecological protection;normative research method was used to study the index system in details;entropy method was used for calculating the index weight;fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used for describing the overall development of eco-urbanization in poor areas.While,by using the obstacle degree method,the obstacles during the process of eco-urbanization can be found.The rationality of index system of eco-urbanization in poor areas mentioned above will be verified by analyzing the empirical research of Enshi Longfeng Town.Finally by studying the process of the explorations in economic success in Longfeng Town,the paper will summarize the constructional experiences of eco-urbanization in Longfeng town and come up with suggestions that how to improve the eco-urbanization in poor areas.
