Study On The Influence Of Industrial Enterprises' Technological Innovation On Intensive Land-use Behavior

In recent years,with the accelerated development of industrialization in China,industrial land presents a high-speed expansion trend.However,the waste of the industrial land is serious,and the efficiency of output is also low.In theory,among the literature on the intensive use of industrial land,the majority still focus on the evaluation after research in a macro,medium perspective.From a few scholars' research results about the industrial enterprises' land intensive behavior,all exploring the obvious factors to influence the land use behavior,such as the enterprise attributes,the external environment,and so on.They are not essentially reveal the fundamental factor—technology innovation,which influences the intensive utilization of land greatly.In practice,both the increase of the industrial land price and the awareness of saving land make the enterprises carry out land use planning.However,it is very hard to improve the intensive land use by simply relying on the capital,land input.Therefore,the technical elements become the key force on the intensive utilization of land.Based on this,this study choose the industrial enterprises as the research object,focusing on researching how the technological innovation influence the land use of the companies.Discussing two key points: the first,to build the research framework about how the technology innovation have impacts on the land use behavior through comprehensive literature review and enterprise investigation.Secondly,to test the hypotheses by the empirical model,including the relationship among the innovation,the factor substitution,and the intensive land use of the industrial enterprises.The study base on the 173 industrial enterprises in the Economic and technological Zone in Hangzhou,Wenling and Xiangshan,to use the Excel 2007 and Stata 12.0 for data analysis and model checking.The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly,the level of land intensive use of the heavy industrial enterprises is higher that of light industrial enterprises.Similarly,the level of technological innovation of the former is higher than that of the latter.The average utilization of land in heavy industrial enterprises is Twenty-five thousand RMB per square meter,however,only fifteen thousand RMB per square meter in light industrial enterprises.The former is about 1.7 times of the latter.The level of both heavy industrial enterprises and light industrial enterprises are respectively 1747 units and 841 units.The former is about 2 times of the latter.The above data shows that the level of the land intensive use and technology innovation of the heavy industrial enterprises is higher than the light industrial enterprises.Secondly,the technology innovation of industrial enterprises has a significant impact on the land intensive use behavior and the lag effect is obvious.The heavy industrial enterprises are more easily affected by technology innovation.Regardless the hysteresis effect,the explanatory power of the model is 48.16%.Lagging one period,two period,three period,the explanatory power becomes 52.52%,48.70% and 57.13%.The land use intensive behavior is more easily affected by technology innovation in heavy industrial enterprises than the light industrial enterprises.The influence coefficient between the land intensive use and the technology innovation is 0.005971.The influence coefficient becomes 0.001886.In other words,technology innovation every increases 1000 units,the output value of the heavy industrial enterprises is 40 thousand RMB per square meter more than the light industrial enterprises.Thirdly,the factor substitution has mediation conduction effect on the technology innovation and land intensive use.Moreover,the heavy enterprises are more easily influenced by the middle capital substitution,the light industrial enterprises are more vulnerable to labor substitution.The influence coefficient between the middle capital substitution and the intensive land use in heavy,light industrial enterprises are respectively 0.0836,0.0270.The influence coefficient between the labor substitution and the intensive land use are respectively 0.0836,0.0270.In view of the above conclusions,in order to meet the need of land intensive use among the industrial enterprises,this research puts forward the following suggestions: First of all,promoting industrial technology upgraded and industrial land use intensive on the basis of strengthening technological innovation.And then,supporting classification to control industrial enterprises and improving enterprises production elements configuration on the basis of enhancing R&D investment.Finally,promoting the light enterprises can achieve scale operation and geographically concentrated on the basis of enhancing technological innovation.
