Study On Optimization Of J's Inventory Management On The Basis Of VMI

With the rapid development of market economy,the market competition is heating up.Under the circumstances,competitions among the enterprises are mainly embodied in the competition between supply chains.Inventory cost is one of the main cost of supply chain.On one hand,it is required that enterprise should hold inventory for sustaining rapid increases in productivity.On the other hand,funding liquidity should be maintained by reducing inventory.Thus,enterprises should pay more attention to them.Effective inventory management can significantly help company to reduce the inventory cost at the basis of reasonable inventory levels,accelerate the capital turnover,and improve the competitiveness.Now,the traditional inventory management model cannot meet the demand of supply chain and demand diversification of customers,moreover it will also bring something new.In order to solve the inventory problems of enterprises,a new supply chain management model comes into existence,which is the vender managed inventory.In this paper,we start with the current development situation of domestic auto parts industry,and make a comparative analysis of the leading inventory management theory and the traditional inventory management methods.And then we choose J company to analyze their inventory control problems,discuss the necessity for J company to choose the VMI.Finally,inventory management of J company was improved by optimizing its inventory management.With the study of interior products inventory,VMI inventory management optimization scheme of J company is mainly divided into three stages:(1)Scheme design phase of VMI.Selecting appropriate suppliers to join the project,define projects,goals,and related process design code.(2)The pilot stage.We should solve the VMI problems timely,and avoid the effect on our production.(3)The stage of implementation.Supervision should be strengthened to improve inventory management method persistently,after the official start of the VMI.Comparing the traditional inventory management mode with VMI,the proposed method can improve the result of inventory management,and raise the level of inventory management,which can give some practical experience to other domestic car interior enterprises.
