A Study On The Income Gap Of Residents In Tianjin

Income gap is inevitable in the process of social development,which is widely concerned by all sectors of society.Whether resident's income gap is appropriate is not only an important basis for the economic and social development of a country,but also a cornerstone for stability of a state.Over the years,a series of regulatory policies have been adopted by the Party and the government to gradually narrow the income gap between urban-rural areas,between different industries and between different groups.This paper,taking Tianjin for an example,mainly discusses the status of income gap between urban-rural areas,reveals the dynamic development of the income gap,analyzes the influencing factors of income gap,and proposes the policy measures to narrow the income gap of residents in Tianjin,with an aim to provide a positive reference for the coordinated and healthy development of regional economy in Tianjin City.This paper consists of six chapters: Chapter 1 “Introduction” mainly discusses the background and significance of the topic,national and international literature reviews,research ideas and frameworks,research methods,innovation and the insufficiency;Chapter 2 introduces relevant concepts and major research methods;Chapter 3 analyzes the status of urban-rural income gap in Tianjin City;Chapter 4 analyzes the influencing factors of income gap from micro and macro,quantitative and qualitative respectively;Chapter 5 proposes the research conclusions and suggestions.In combination of qualitative analysis and objective description,this paper describes the current situation of the income gap,the income gap among urban residents and among rural residents through empirical analysis,and conducts meticulous research on the influencing factors from micro and macro,quantitative and qualitative respectively to specify the influencing extent.Then,based on the analysis,conclusions are made on the income gap in Tianjin and even in the whole country,including the conclusions that resident's income gap is generally within a relatively modest range,that the rationality and positive significance on the generation and existence of income gap shall be fully recognized,that there is no sufficient evidence to prove that the changes in income gap may be about to enter the inflection point of inverted U curve,and that China is in the critical period of policy adjustment now.Finally,more operational and targeted suggestions are proposed to narrow the income gap,including the establishment of long-term effective tracking and monitoring system for income distribution;the enhancement of efforts to increase the income of low-income groups;the acceleration of urbanization process to promote the transfer of rural population;the acceleration of industrialization process to absorb the surplus rural labor force;the vigorous development of rural education to improve the productivity of agricultural labor;the increase in efforts to contribute finance and investment to rural areas;the support of self-employed farmers to realize the goal of employment driven by entrepreneurship.
