The suitability evaluation of urban and rural construction land is a basic work to guide the development direction of urban planning,which got a lot of city builders and scholars more and more attention.Along with our country to accelerate the pace of urbanization,the demand for land is more and more,make the resources,environment,population and land use contradictions deepening,the contradiction between urban and rural construction and cultivated land protection is more and more intense.One of the most important types of construction land is used as urban and rural construction land,it can seriously affect the normal and orderly and reasonable development,quality and efficiency of economic development in a region.Therefore,the development of urban and rural construction land suitability evaluation to coordinate the development and protection of the two contradictory meaning is significant.Based on the comprehensive analysis of previous research on the theory and method of evaluation,choosing the Inner Mongolia Ordos city Dongsheng District as the study area,with the construction suitability for evaluation purpose,and the urban and rural construction land as the evaluation object,according to the characteristics of the evaluation area,considering the natural,social and ecological environment conditions,land use present situation and characteristic of construction factors.Based on the above conditions,the suitability of urban and rural construction land in the study area was evaluated and discussed.This study through the map spot overlay method to deal with the evaluation unit,using multi factor comprehensive evaluation model,selecting the natural environment factors,social economic factors,ecological environment factors andrestricted factors of protected areas 4 index layers,in accordance with the principle of selecting the evaluation factors,and further selecting the surface subsidence influence scope,disaster risk zoning and other disasters,slope,soil erosion,landscape fragmentation,the influence of water environment,the protection of basic farmland a number of specific factors,constructs the evaluation index system suitable for the study area.To determine the weight and use of GIS software to carry out the evaluation work.In this paper,through the application of GIS spatial analysis function,the suitability of every evaluation units and their appropriate grade in the study area are evaluated.The urban and rural construction land in the study area is divided into 6 grades,they are classified as the most suitable for construction land(Grade I),more suitable for construction land(Grade II),basically suitable for construction land(Grade III),barely suitable for construction land(Grade IV),the most unsuitable for construction land(GradeV)and the Prohibit the construction(Grade VI)six grades,area and proportion are calculated for each level at the same time.The research results show that :a)the grade I,II,III,IV,V and VI land use proportion of the total area of evaluation area are 6.32%,12.14%,24.12%,16.43%,18.81% and 22.18%.Evaluation should be built in the area of ground(Grade I,II,III,IV)with a total area of 126291.06 hectares,should not be built to(Grade V,VI)of 87714.15 hectares,evaluation of regional land area accounted for 59.01% and 40.99%.b)In the land suitable for construction,,the most appropriate construction land13534.09 hectares,accounting for 10.72% of the suitable construction land;the more suitable for construction land 25983.06 hectares,accounting for 20.57%;the basically suitable for construction land 51615.70 hectares,accounting for 40.87%;the barely suitable for construction land35158.21 hectares,accounting for27.84%%.Thus,urban and rural construction land in the study area are mainly composed of III etc.suitable for construction land.c)From the distribution of land,Grade Iland is mainly distributed in the urban area(built-up area)and its surrounding area,as well as south of the town of Hantai,in addition Southeast,Southwest of urban area has less distribution.In the main traffic road on both sides of the open area there are also scattered.Grade II land is mainly distributed in the city surrounding area;Grade III land is mainly distributed in the middle Bojianghaizi Town east,Hampshire town southwest and east of the town of Tongchuan.Land utilization rate is not high.Grade IV land is mainly distribution in the central Bojianghaizi Town,Tongchuan Town North and southwest.This part barely suitable for construction,should using economic and technical means to improve.Grade V land is mainly distributed in the central region of Tongchuan Town and the central west region of Bojianghaizi Town.This part in the exploitation of mineral resources,the distribution of many mineral resources;at the same time the ground mining subsidence,landslide,debris flow and other geological disasters more,not suitable for construction.VI land is mainly distributed in the north and southwest of the Bojianghaizi Town,the area of national natural historical relics protection areas,basic farmland protection areas,as well as relevant laws and regulations prohibited for construction.Therefore,the choice of construction should avoid these places with the ground.Based on the above analysis,put forward the development and utilization of construction land in the direction of research to the existing built-up area as the core,and to suggest north-south axis development,south direction,appropriate to the city in Southeast and southwest direction of construction and development.Through the evaluation,to a certain extent,not only for the study of regional land use planning decision-making plan,but also for the similar areas of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region related land use evaluation to provide reference and research ideas.
