Since 1990s,the extent of aging has been increased.According to the data of 6thhcensus,there were 178 million elderly people over 60 years old(including those who were 60 years old),accounting for 13.26%of the total population.Elderly people over 60 years old(including those who were 60 years old)accounted for 16.I%of the total population by 2015,and aging population has become one of the China's basic conditions. One of the features of aging population in China is that there are more elderly people in the rural areas than other areas.Outflow of young labor from the rural areas weakens the function of the traditional family-support service for the elderly, which makes the problem of service for the elderly in rural areas more severe. On one hand, the community,as the social internet of the rural residents, should take more responsibility to provide service for the elderly in it.However,on the other hand, insufficient in service provided by the community may exist because of the situation that rural areas falling behind cities in economic development makes them lag behind cities in health service and public service. For this reason, this paper is supposed to analyze the community service for elderly people in the rural areas in China, taking supply and demand as a view to investigate.Firstly, the paper describes the situation of the Supply and demand of community service for elderly in rural areas and analyzes the rate of elderly-service supply,elderly-service demand and the utilization rate of elderly-service supply and demand. On the basis of the analysis, the paper tries to find Out whether the elderly-service supply meet the elderly-service demand in the rural areas in the east of China, the middle of China and the west of China. The analysis shows that the supply of community service for elderly people in rural areas doesn't meet the need of elderly people there and elderly people have different degree of need in different kinds of service.Compared to other kinds of service, health service and mental service are highly needed. What's more, regional difference exists in community service for elderly people.Elderly people get more sufficient community service in east part than those who in west and middle part of China.Secondly, the paper uses the logit model to find out whether self-basic information(gender, age, etc.),domesticity, economic status, health situation and mental state will influence the demand of the elderly people in rural areas. The paper analyzes the effect of the elderly-service supply, while comparing the effects on elderly people who live with family members and those who live alone. Finally,on the basis of the analysis, the paper brings forward that elderly-service supply in rural areas should meet the demand of elderly people there and should take more care about those elderly people who lives alone and those who have difficulties in taking care of themselves. While developing community service for elderly people, the government should pay attention to fairness and try to narrow the gap between different areas.Concerning the mode of elderly-service supply, taking advantage of the technology to build the "Intelligent Community" is probably an up-dated way that can raise the efficiency of supply.Besides, building a community in which elderly people care about each other and help each other is also a good choice, for it will not only meet the demand of nursing and spiritual solace but also enhance the interactivity between elderly people.
