The State Council stated in the "13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Aged Career and the System of Providing for the Aged System" that in 2020,the number of elderly people over the age of 60 in China will increase to 255 million,and the number of elderly living alone and empty nest will increase to 118 million.As a special form of empty nest,the scale of living alone will be further expanded.However,aged care services in China are still in their infancy.Under this circumstance,it is particularly important to give priority to the aged care services that meet the needs of the large number of elderly people living alone.This study takes the elderly living alone in the rural areas of village of N in Hebei Province as the research object.The demand and supply of aged services are the research contents.Village of N is the research site.Combining qualitative and quantitative research methods,to inspect the living conditions of the elderly living alone in rural areas,to summarize the demand and supply of elderly care services for the elderly living alone.In terms of the needs of the elderly living alone in rural areas,there are differences in the physical health status,economic status and way of aged care of the elderly living alone.The elderly living alone in rural areas have diversified demands for aged services.It is mainly manifested in the different levels of needs of the elderly living alone in rural areas for economic support,life care,spiritual comfort and medical care.In terms of the supply of aged care services,the government provides a limited level of aged security for the elderly living alone in rural areas,which cannot effectively meet the actual needs of the elderly living alone;the family's ability of elderly care services for the elderly living alone in the rural areas is weak,but they are the main providers of life care and spiritual comfort;the lack of aged care provided by the society;the pension model of pension institutions failed to achieve the desired effect.In order to improve the imbalance between the need and supply of the elderly living alone in rural areas,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: multi-party efforts to provide strong economic material security;on-demand supply to meet diverse needs of daily care;strengthen publicity,enrich spiritual life and enhance happiness;pay attention to health,improve and make medical infrastructure more perfect.
